The Donald W. Reynolds Cardiovascular Clinical Research Center at Johns Hopkins University encompasses a broad, multidisciplinary approach to the problem of sudden cardiac death (SCD) associated with atherosclerosis. Despite impressive advances in primary therapy for myocardial infarction and overall improvements in mortality, SCD remains a problem of major public health proportions. The primary goals of the Center are to develop new means to identify individuals at high-risk for SCD, and to devise novel therapies to prevent SCD in those high-risk individuals .

The work of the Hopkins Reynolds Center is supported by a grant
from the
 Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
